Land Rover Experience Scotland are registered LANTRA Awards training providers.
Our LANTRA - Professional 4x4 User Two-Day course is based on the established Land Rover Experience Level 1 Course, but increases the focus on classroom content to explore the principles of four wheel drive operation in more depth, in line with LANTRA's guidelines. Naturally, participants also spend time behind the wheel putting their classroom learning into practise. The opportunity to practise their off-road driving techniques is complemented by ground-reading and obstacle recognition skills, too. We also cover daily checks and maintenance requirements to help operators maximise fleet reliability and minimise total costs. Like our other driving courses, the LANTRA Awards Professional User course is normally conducted using Land Rovers, although it can also be delivered in other vehicles by special arrangement.
All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) or Quad Bikes can present serious safety risks to inexperienced users. Our two-day LANTRA Awards Professional ATV User course helps ATV users understand the safe operating principles for their machines while helping them reduce costs and improve efficiency. The course covers:
- The principles of ATV operation
- Ground reading
- Obstacle recognition and negotiation techniques
- Vehicle recovery methods
- Practical ATV loading-carrying and towing.
A one-day version of this course is available to users who can demonstrate competence in ATV handling.
