Trailer Handling
Our one-day Trailer Handling course is designed to ensure inexperienced operators always get the basics right. The course is based on the trailer elements of the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) car and trailer (B+E) driving test. This is a mandatory requirement for drivers of many vehicle and trailer combinations who passed their car driving test after 1996. Our course includes:

- An overview of trailer construction and roadworthiness
- Principles of safe loading
- Trailer coupling
- Low-speed manoeuvring skills
- On-road towing experience

Off-road towing confronts drivers with a completely new range of hazards and risks. To help address these, Land Rover have developed an Advanced Off-Road Towing course designed to train operators in the safe and reliable use of trailers off-road. Best practice means continually assessing and mitigating the hazards and risks of towing to the trailer, the towing vehicle and the terrain itself. This course includes:

- Practical experience of negotiating a range of obstacles
- Tight off-road manoeuvring
- Failure-to-climb procedures
- Trailer recovery
- How to change a wheel when off-road
